Biography

Jon Olsen was a freestyle sprinter who competed at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. In multiple international tournaments, Olsen had a remarkable record in winning relay medals and golds. He won five Olympic medals, four gold, all in relays; won LC World titles in the 4x100 free in both 1994 and 1998; and won three relay golds at the 1995 Pan American Games, along with silver in the 100 freestyle. Olsen won 12 medals at the Pan Pacific Championships, with 10 golds, eight in relays, and individual golds in the 50 and 100 free at the 1993 Pan Pacs. Olsen swam at the University of Alabama. He later settled in the Florida Keys with his family, where he became a swim coach with several clubs and high schools.
