Tom Winters

Tom Winters swam for Southern Cal and the Los Angeles Athletic Club. He competed at the 1959 Pan American Games, winning a gold medal with the 4x200 freestyle relay. While at Southern Cal, Winters won the 1960 NCAA title in the 220 yard freestyle. In 1959 and 1960 he also swam on the Southern Cal team that won the AAU indoor title in the 4x100 yard free relay. He later competed in some masters swimming events.

Winters later attended Dartmouth and received an MBA and a law degree. From 1970-78 he was President of ITT Capital, a subsidiary of International Telephone & Telegraph. In 1980 he became chairman and CEO of Whitehall Capital Investment Group, staying there for 23 years. In 2003 Winters became a vice-president and managing director of Comprehensive Advisors Group, a Raymond James firm in Tucson, Arizona. He also spent over 40 years as a US technical delegate and jury advisor to the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS).
