Paul Wolf swam for the Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC). He won a silver medal with the US 4x200 freestyle relay team at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Two years later Wolf returned to the Berlin pool and helped the US team set a world record in the 800m freestyle relay.
Wolf graduated from Southern Cal. In World War II he taught sailors to swim at the San Diego Naval Training Center. He later taught at the LAAC and owned and operated the Paul Wolf Olympic Swim Club in Pasadena, California.
