Biography

Volleyball player Gudrun Witte was a member of the West German women’s team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that finished sixth after losing the match for fifth place against South Korea. Witte won 375 international caps and participated in four European and three World Championships. In 2015, she won the Over-50 World Championships.

Witte played with SV Lohhof (1980-89), Conad Fano in Italy (1989-91) and CJD Feuerbach (1991-93). She helped Lohhof to win the German Championship in 1982-84 and 1986, and the German Cup in 1982-84 and 1986-88. After her active career she became a coach at Lohhof.
