Ice hockey goalkeeper Jörg Reichel played domestically with Klagenfurter AC 1909. At the 1948 St. Moritz Winter Olympics the Austrian team finished seventh. Reichel was also a water polo goalkeeper, playing with Austria at the 1947 and 1950 European Championships, finishing tenth and fifth respectively. At the 1952 Oslo Summer Games he was on the squad that was eliminated in the preliminaries.
