Kenneth Beck played water polo at Inglewood High School, near Los Angeles, and then played for the Los Angeles Athletic Club. He played on teams that won AAU outdoor championships in 1941 and 1947, and played for the US at two Olympics, in 1936 and 1948. In 1976 Beck was made a charter member of the US Water Polo Hall of Fame.
