Chuck Bittick attended Southern Cal and competed in swimming and water polo for them. In 1959 he won a silver medal in the 100 metre backstroke at the Pan American Games and in 1963 he won silver medals at the PanAms in both 100 metre backstroke and water polo. He later settled in Yorba Linda and became an insurance broker for Farmer’s Insurance. He always stayed very active, and in 1997 climbed Mount Rainier. He and his brother also once spent nine days paddling across the Sea of Cortés in a kayak.
