Chris Christensen

Chris Christensen competed for Fullerton Junior College, and then UCLA, graduating in 1940. He played club water polo for the Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC). Christensen helped his teams to several titles, winning the Southern Cal Junior College Championship in 1936 with Fullerton, Pacific Coast Conference titles with UCLA in 1937 and 1939, and AAU outdoor titles with LAAC in 1941 and 1947-48.

Christensen served in the Marines during World War II as a pilot, earning a Distinguished Service Cross and three Air Medals. He was later in the reserves, leaving after 30 years in 1972 as a Colonel. Christensen worked for Union Oil of California (UNOCAL) from 1948-81, becoming a vice-president and general manager of the company. He was also with Unigas from 1966-81, serving as a budget and distribution manager.
