Biography

Gordie Hall started in water polo as a center forward in high school, but switched to center back in college at U Cal Berkeley, and eventually became a goalie during his AAU career from 1956-64. Hall played for the US at the 1960 Olympics and the 1963 Pan American Games. He later became an aerospace engineer and then an aerospace consultant. After retirement from those jobs, he sold real estate on Maui, where he settled. In Hawai’i Hall started competing in 6-man outrigger canoes, and was a member of the Maui Masters championship outrigger crew. Hall was elected to the US Water Polo Hall of Fame in 2000.
