John Norton competed for the US in water polo at the 1924 Olympics, winning a bronze medal. Norton was a member of the Chicago AA team that won the AAU indoor water polo championship in 1926 and 1928. He was in the US Coast Guard during World War I, serving from May 1918 to June 1919.
