Chris Oeding played water polo for the USA at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. He also won a gold medal in 1997 at the FINA World Cup. Oeding also won gold medals at the 1995 and 1999 Pan American Games. He played at U Cal Berkeley, leading the Golden Bears to three straight NCAA titles. He later earned a masters’ degree from Azusa Pacific.
Oeding went into coaching. He became head coach at Long Beach Community College and Orange Coast College, but also became an assistant coach for the USA Women’s National Team, helping lead them to the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
