George Schroth was outstanding both as a swimmer and water polo player for the Olympic Club of San Francisco. He was on the water polo team that won the AAU indoor title in 1925 and was the Pacific Coast freestyle champion at distances ranging from 50 to 100 yards. Schroth, who also played on the 1928 Olympic water polo team, worked as a publicity officer.
