As an outstanding goalkeeper, Jim Slatton played a major part in UCLA winning the NCAA Championship in 1966 and 1967. After being chosen as an alternate on the Pan-American Games team in 1967, he did not play again internationally until the 1972 Olympics. After college graduation in 1970, he began a career as a securities analyst.
