Biography

Cecil Moore was born in British Guiana and took up weightlifting at a young age. His only major international tournament was the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, where he was the lone representative of his country at the Games. There, he took part in the light-heavyweight division, where he placed 17th. Moore later moved to Canada, where he worked for the national border services agency until his retirement in 1992, and eventually settled in Ontario.
