Tate Armstrong attended Duke University and was the star of that team for four years in the mid-70s, graduating in 1977. The 6-3 (1.90) guard was known for his shooting touch and defensive skills. After earning his gold medal and graduating from Duke he played briefly in the NBA for two years with the Chicago Bulls, although without distinction.
