Biography
Patrick Bassey was a Nigerian weightlifter who competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He was a bronze medalist in lightweight weightlifting at the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Bassey later became a coach, serving as head coach of the Abia State Sports Council and also leading the Nigerian weightlifters at the 2012 London Olympics.
