Mark Cameron was a six-time AAU Champion from 1975-80. A heavyweight, he won six medals at the 1975 and 1979 Pan American Games, with golds in all three events in 1979 and silvers in all three events in 1975. Cameron won a bronze medal in clean & jerk at the 1977 World Championships. He also made the 1980 US Olympic team that could not compete. Cameron held the US record in the clean & jerk as a heavyweight from 1972-92. Cameron represented the York Barbell Club.
