Although not as well-known as his older brother, Pete, Ohio State’s Jim George was a very accomplished lifter in his own right. He was a four-time AAU champion in the light-heavyweight class and won that division at the 1959 Pan American Games. He never won a world title, but had two second- and two third-place finishes at the World Championships.
