Biography

Austrian wrestler Karl Barl was eliminated in the third of seven rounds in the middleweight B class, Greco-Roman style, at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He finished second in the Greco-Roman 85.0 kg class at the unofficial World Championships at Wien (Vienna) in 1911. He qualified for the 1912 Olympics when he finished second to Johann Trestler in the middleweight B class at the selection competition held in Wien (Vienna) (Apollo-Säle) on 9 June 1912.
