Austrian wrestler Erich Fincsusz took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He lost his first bout in the Greco-Roman featherweight division, losing to the eventual silver medallist from Finland, Aarne Reini. As a Jew, Fincsusz fled to the United States during World War II and took the American name Eric Finchley.
