Biography

Pierre Christoffel had a 25-year long career in wrestling with the Saint-Gilles Athletic Club which reached its pinnacle when he was selected to compete at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in the lightweight Greco-Roman style. There, he was eliminated after losing to eventual bronze medallist Kalle Westerlund of Finland by fall. Domestically, he won three national titles (1924-26), and upon his retirement from the sport in 1928, was awarded the the Civil Cross, Second Class. He was a plumber by profession.
