Biography

Bárbaro Morgan was primarily a freestyle wrestler who competed at the 1972, 1976, and 1980 Olympic Games. He was a bronze medalist at the 1978 World Championships. Morgan was the freestyle heavyweight champion at the 1978 Central American and Caribbean Games. Between 1971-79 he won five silver medals at the Pan American Games, winning freestyle silvers at all three editions and Greco-Roman silvers in 1975 and 1979. Morgan also won a Pan American Games gold medal in 1986 in sambo, unlimited class. He was twice a bronze medalist at the World Cup, in 1978 and 1979.
