A 6-9 (2.05) power forward, Jim Turner played for the University of Minnesota before taking his talents to the Olympics and the NBA. Never a great scorer he still made several All-America teams while in college because of his defensive skills. In 1973 he was the second pick of the NBA draft as the Cleveland Cavaliers hoped he would be the one to lead their young team out of the league basement. Brewer played six years at Cleveland before being traded to several other teams. His pro career was similar to his college days, as he has been a defensive star, twice being named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
