At the 1920 Olympic Games, a virtually unknown Heikki Kähkönen won a surprising silver medal behind his more famous clubmate Oskari Friman in the Greco-Roman featherweight class. Kähkönen reached the final by defeating three of his five opponents by fall and two by decision, but then lost to Friman by fall in the final. This medal is the only accomplishment of note during Kähkönen’s wrestling career, as his best finish at the Finnish Championships was fifth in 1917.
