In addition to his two Olympic silver medals, Edil Rosenqvist was also the World Greco-Roman light-heavyweight champion in 1921 and 1922 and won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman light-heavyweight at the 1930 European Championships. Rosenqvist also won the Nordic light-heavyweight title in 1921, the Nordic heavyweight title in 1925, and the Finnish title four times: in 1919 and 1920 in heavyweight and in 1921 and 1930 in light-heavyweight. During his wrestling career, Rosenqvist worked as a chauffeur and was later a successful businessman.
