Ernest Blount of the London Amateur Wrestling Society was one of five members of his club to participate in the lightweight class of Greco-Roman wrestling at the 1908 Olympics in London. Receiving a bye in the first round, he lost his sole match in a fall in the second round to eventual bronze medal runner-up Gunnar Persson of Sweden. Like his father, Blount was a house builder by profession and a longtime resident of Willesden, London.
