German wrestler Peter Oehler from Frankfurt finished sixth at the 1911 Unofficial Greco-Roman World Championships as a light-heavyweight. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics he was eliminated in the fourth round against Danish wrestler Johannes Eriksen. He was affiliated with Athletik SVgg Frankfurt and won the German Championship in the heavyweight division in 1913.
