Tserendonoin Sanjaa was a Mongolian freestyle wrestler who was active during the 1960s. After winning multiple national titles Sanjaa was soon selected to represent the national team, winning bronze at the 1963 Friendly Armies Tournament in Budapest, in addition to finishing eighth at that years’ World Championships in Sofia. One year later he competed in the heavyweight class at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. In his opening bout he faced the eventual gold medallist Aleksandr Ivanitsky (URS), with the contest lasting more than 90 minutes before eventually Ivanitsky won. Sanjaa then lost his second bout at the Games to János Reznák (HUN) to be eliminated.
