Chuck Dalton was born in Windsor, Ontario but moved to London at age six. He attended the University of Western Ontario in London, where he studied business and starred on the basketball team. After graduation he played for the Tillsonburg Livingstons, as a guard leading them to the 1952 Canadian amateur championship. That team became the nucleus of the 1952 Canadian Olympic basketball team. Dalton also played several years with the London Majors baseball team. He stayed in London, becoming President of the London Curling Club, and coaching baseball. His business was with Dalton Fuel, a family company, and he also worked in real estate. He is a member of the UWO Sports Hall of Fame.
