Guy Lookabaugh attended college at Oklahoma A&M (later Oklahoma State), where he starred initially as a football player. He left school to enlist in the Army in World War I, and when he returned to college, he starred on the wrestling team. He never lost a collegiate match and in 1921 won the championships of three conferences – the Missouri Valley, Western, and Southwest Conference. Lookabaugh later became a wrestling coach. In 1983 he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
