Wrestler Rudolph Wolken, who was born in Poland, was eliminated in the second round of the lightweight freestyle event at the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He was a German living in the United States who became a naturalized US citizen in 1906. It is debatable whether he should be considered as German or American in 1904, but he represented an American club, the Boys Club of New York at the Olympics.
