Biography

Rolando Etchepare played basketball for Chile at the 1956 Olympics. He later won a bronze medal with the Chilean team at the 1959 World Championships. Etchepaire was the son of a cattleman. He earned a scholarship to play in the United States, quite rare in the 1950s, and studied agriculture at Fort Lewis A&M College in Wyoming. Etchepare played from 1951-53, and averaged 15 ppg in his final season.
