Temple Ashbrook represented the Los Angeles Yacht Club at the 1932 Olympics. He was skipper of the 45-foot Sailing Association on Catalina Island in 1934-35. Ashbrook worked as a carburetor and magneto expert for the Harry A. Miller Co. He is a member of the National Sailing Hall of Fame.
