Jürgen Brietzke was an East German sailor who participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the 470 class, partnering with Ekkehard Schulz and finishing 11th. The pair surprisingly won the 1982 European Championships. In 1987, they added a bronze medal at the World Championships, and in 1986 and 1988 won the East German national title.
