Ekkehard Schulz was an East German sailor who participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the 470 class, partnering with Jürgen Brietzke and finishing 11th. The pair surprisingly won the 1982 European Championships and, in 1987, they added a bronze medal at the World Championships. They also won the East German national title in 1986 and 1988. Schulz later became a sailing coach.
