Lorne Currie was the owner of Scotia, which took part in two events in the 1900 Olympic regatta at Meulan on the River Seine. After winning the Open class, Scotia, won Race I of the 0.5-1 ton class but in Race II she finished only fourth. Currie served as a Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps during the war.
