Biography
Frans Hin was the younger brother of Johan Hin and Cornelis Hin was their father. At 14 years-163 days he was the youngest gold medalist of the 1920 Games. Hin only sailed the two regattas off Amsterdam, since he was not granted leave of absence from school for the regattas sailed off Ostende. He later worked in his father’s hosiery mill.
