The 12-foot dinghy class had to be completed at a later date, after a controversy involving the course. The two crews were from the Netherlands. So, acceding to a special request by the Belgian Organizing Committee, the final two races were moved to the Netherlands and held on the Buiten-IJ, near Amsterdam, on 4 September.
