Charles Horter graduated from Drexel University in 1970 and took up a career in real estate management. He was one of America’s most talented sailors in the Dragon class. Horter won the pre-Olympic regatta in Kiel in 1971 in addition to being the Atlantic Coast champion in 1970 and 1971, and the Pacific Coast champion in 1972.
