Bernd Klenke finished an unfortunate fourth in the East German Soling three-man keelboat at the 1980 Olympics at Tallinn. Klenke won the Flying Dutchman world title with the non-Olympian Ilja Wolf in 1974, and he also won three East German national titles. By occupation was a boat builder.
