Biography
East Germany’s Lothar Koepsell sailed in the three-person keelboat Soling class at the 1972 München Olympics with Werner Christoph and Roland Schwarz. The boat from SC Berlin-Grünau finished 14th at Kiel. Berlin-Grünau was the most successful sailing club in the former GDR. With Schwarz, Koepsell, Schwarz won ten East German national titles.
