Biography

Active during the 1960s and 1970s competitive sailor Peter Kolni represented Sweden at three consecutive Olympic Games. Kolni and his brother Jörgen competed in the Flying Dutchman at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, finishing ninth. For the 1972 München Olympics Peter teamed up with Ulf Nilsson in the Flying Dutchman where the pair came 12th. Kolni made his third and final Olympic appearance at the 1976 Montréal Games, this time in the Tornado class with his brother Jörgen and compatriot Sven-Bertil Johansson. The trio finished fifth overall, with their best result coming in the fourth of seven races when they finished second.
