In 1963 Swiss sailors Jean-Pierre Renevier and Serge Graz won the Flying Dutchman World Championship when the event was held on Lake Starnberg in Germany. The following year Renevier represented Switzerland in the same sailing class at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Along with crewman Michel Buzzi the Swiss team finished 17th overall with a best individual performance of 11th in three of the seven races.
