Biography

Prague-born basketball player Vladimir Kadlec moved to West Germany with his parents when he was 12-years-of-age. He represented West Germany at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing eighth. In total, he won 27 international caps.

Kadlec played with DJK Sportbund München in his youth, and then with TSV 1860 München (until 1977), SSV Hagen (1977-78), TuS Bayer 04 Leverkusen (1978-80), MTV Wolfenbüttel (1980-84) and BSC Saturn Köln (1984-86), in the German Bundesliga. He won the national title with Leverkusen in 1979 and the German cup with Wolfenbüttel in 1982.
