Argentine sailor Roberto Sieburger belongs to a relatively elite club of Olympians who participated in five or more editions of the Games. Between 1948 and 1968, he competed in the Dragon (1948 and 1952), 5.5 metres (1960), and Star (1964 and 1968) classes, just missing the podium twice in fourth in 1952 and 1960. He was also part of an extended family with a lengthy history at the Games. His father Julio and uncle Enrique Sr. were among those who won silver in the 6 metres class at the 1948 London Olympics, while his brother-in-law Jorge Alberto del Río was a silver medalist in the Dragon class in 1960. His cousins Carlos and Enrique Jr. were also sailing Olympians. Roberto also competed at the 1963 Star World Championships, with the non-Olympian Hector Schenone, but placed 52nd overall. By career, Roberto held a PhD in Chemistry and worked in that industry, later running his own business.
