Ulrich Strohschneider was an Austrian sailor who participated in the 1972 München Olympics. He crewed with Peter Denzel and Robert Haschka in the three-person keelboat soling class and finished 17th. The crew also won the silver medal at the 1974 European Championships. Strohschneider sailed with Union-Yacht-Club Wolfgangsee
Strohschneider served many terms within the International Sailing Association ISA. During that period, he succeeded in changing the class rules to make the soling class boats unsinkable. He was a pharmacologist in the Austrian federal government by career.
