Ben Weston was a Californian yachtsman who frequently sailed with Owen Churchill. Weston helped found the California Yacht Club and purchased the first Star class boast on the Pacific Coast. In 1922 he and Churchill won the nationals in the Star class, and in 1923 they won the 1923 Pacific International Star Championship in Vancouver.
