Argentine track and field athlete Francisco Dova competed mainly in the 400 and 800 metres. At the 1924 Paris Olympics Dova ran in the 400 metres where he was eliminated in his heat. He was also scheduled to run in the 800 metres and the 4 × 400 metres relay in Paris but did not start in either race. Just prior to the Olympics he won three medals at the 1924 South American Championships in Athletics, with a gold in the 800 metres and the 4 × 400 metres relay, and silver in the 400 metres.
