Alex Antonitsch was an Austrian tennis player who played professionally from 1988 to 1996. During his career Antonitsch won one singles title and four doubles titles. He achieved his career-best world-ranking of 40 as a singles player in July 1990, and 54 as a doubles player in October 1989.
Antonitsch was a member of the Austrian Davis Cup team from 1983 to 1996. During this time he played in 27 matches, the majority in doubles. In 1990 the Austrian team reached the semi-finals of the tournament.
Antonitsch competed in both the singles and the doubles tournament at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He lost his first-round match in the singles competition to Darren Cahill of Australia. In the doubles tournament he reached the second round. At the 1990 Wimbledon Championships Antonitsch was eliminated in the fourth round after losing to Ivan Lendl.
