Austrian track & field athlete Maria Oberbreyer, née Trösch, was Austrian champion at 100 metres (1946-47), 200 metres (1946-47), 4×100 relay (1942, 1946, and 1948), long jump (1946), and pentathlon (1942 and 1948). Oberbreyer-Trösch was selected for the 1948 London Olympics, and her best results were fifth place in the 80 metres hurdles and ninth in the long jump. She went on to live in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, in 1952.
